Agile

Agile is a conceptual framework consisting of light-weight software development methodologies emphasizing adaptability, continuous integration, customer involvement and face-to-face communication to deliver iterative releases.

AgileMost agile methods attempt to minimize risk by developing software in short timeboxes, called iterations. Each iteration is like a miniature software project of its own, and includes all of the tasks necessary to release the mini-increment of new functionality. At the end of each iteration, the team re-evaluates project priorities.

Agile methods also emphasize working software as the primary measure of progress along with smaller amounts of written documentation relative to other methods.

Most agile teams are located in a bullpen and include all the people necessary to develop software. At a minimum, this includes programmers and their "customers" (people who define the product including product managers, business analysts and actual customers). The bullpen may also include testers, usability designers, technical writers and managers.
